  • Overview

    The Admissions Representative must interview, conduct tours and guide potential students for possible enrollment. Admissions Representatives are expected to follow and exceed Company standards for counseling and managing prospective students through the enrollment process from the initial inquiry stage through the Drop/ Add period

    Responsibilities

    Telephone:
    a. Answer all inquiry calls from potential students interested in receiving information about the programs, including entrance requirements, curricula and academic standards.
    b. Understand the rationale behind and follow the spirit of the script outlined in “The Graduate Enrollment Process Initial Phone Contact.”
    c. Make inquiry calls promptly to all potential students to provide information about the programs, including entrance requirements, curricula and academic standards.
    d. Attract the prospect; set the appointment.
    e. Follow up on all inquiries that fail to schedule or show for an appointment.

    Interview Prospective Students:
    a. Properly utilize the approved “Graduate Enrollment Process” in all interviews using the appropriate computer assisted presentation.
    b. Greet prospect with a warm opening.
    c. Establish a relationship with the candidates by following the GEP Process: Probe, listen, give good feedback and persuade.
    d. Uncover all obstacles and overcome when they surface.
    e. Give compliant outcome-oriented school and career information.
    f. Demonstrate the value of an education and training and talk about investment in education.
    g. Discuss 90/10 regulation and monthly payments at applicable locations.

    Conduct Tours of the Facility:
    a. Show prospects the facility and highlight areas of particular interest.
    b. Put the prospect in the classroom “mentally.”
    c. Confirm prospective student commitment throughout the tour and build excitement.


    Enrollment Forms (see that the prospective student completes):
    a. Complete Enrollment Agreement.
    b. Complete Application For Admissions.
    c. Complete High School or GED Transcript Request Forms.
    d. Complete College Transcript Request Forms - if applicable.
    e. Complete Specific Program Checklist as required.
    f. Complete Health Forms.
    g. Complete Employer Release Form.
    h. Complete Wonderlic Entrance Exam Score.


    Financial Aid Information:
    a. Introduce prospects to Financial Aid Officer – “Planner.”
    b. Assist financial aid to ensure that the financial aid package is complete.

    Follow up:
    a. Make contact with new enrollees within 72 hours after enrollment.
    b. Contact weekly thereafter to assist with their preparation for orientation and the first day of class.
    c. Properly document the follow up.

    Enrollment:
    a. Enroll students whose academic background and/or tested abilities would indicate an aptitude and desire to successfully complete the chosen curriculum.
    b. Acquire two recommendations from the enrollee at time of enrollment of others who may benefit from post-secondary education and training to pursue their career dreams.
    c. Acquire inquiries of prospective students from personally developed sources.
    d. Assist with and attend orientation of new students.

    Attitude:
    a. Be professional (dress, ethics, follow schedule, etc.).
    b. Assist other admission reps when needed by interviewing and giving applicant tours; be a team player.
    c. Meet weekly, monthly and yearly process and activity requirements.

    Qualifications

    Educational/Experience Certification Requirements:
    • Associate or B.A. Degree required
    • 1 to 2 years of sales experience required
    • Willing to work shifts that may include evening hours or work on weekends
